Hey guys. Not much is going on with me right now, but I felt it was time to write something. I'm basically done with my latest DIY project, which I will upload the sketch of soon. It's a black/gold sequin top dress. The only hold up is the collar and I was trying to add a belt. Neither turned out right, lol. I was attempting a peter pan collar, but I'm not having much success with that yet. And let's not talk about the belt...Plus, the top of the dress is a little longer than I wanted. But it's okay. I just want to finish this up before I more one to my next project, so I might just leave off the collar and use a belt I already have...
My next project is another dress, that hopefully will work out better. It's going to be a nice summer dress --hopefully-- with a nice chiffon skirt.

I have high hopes. It should be pretty simple, since it won't have an attached collar or sleeves. The sequin dress has sleeves, but they were really easy to make and sew on. tglashen on youtube,
[link] , does pretty simple sewing tutorials of really nice clothes. She shows how to use a t-shirt to draft patterns for dresses, which is the technique I'm using now.

It's really easy to play around with designs, using a t-shirt as a base.
I'm gonna go take off that collar and belt fail on my sequin dress, so I can wear it this weekend. Hope it looks okay. And I'll upload the sketch of it too. After my summer dress, I'll probably sew some skirts, and possible some shorts. I also really want to enter something for the Ugly Truth contest
[link] but I'm not sure if I'll go with a digital entry, like usual, or attempt a traditional piece.
Check out the contest if you haven't already. It's worth it

And Have a Blessed Week
